About Us
Whether you stay home full-time, work
outside the house part-time or have a home business, if you are with
your kids during the day, we have lots of activities for you!
What We Offer
Following is a brief description of a few of the activities and services
we provide.
Monthly Social Event: We meet the
last Monday of every month. The meeting consists
of discussions regarding Club business and includes a guest speaker,
support group discussions or a group activity. Child care for children
old enough to walk is available in “Kids’ Club” while
we have speakers. “Kids’ Club” is staffed by
Club members on a rotating basis.
Playgroups: Playgroups consist of up
to six moms, formed on the basis of the age of their children. Members
of the group take turns
planning a weekly activity.
Mom’s Night Out: Once a month our moms
have the opportunity to get together and socialize. Our nights out have
been great fun; painting pottery, movies night, a relaxing dinner, etc.
Mom’s Night Out is sometimes replaced with Family Nights (spouses
and
children are invited) and Date Nights (baby-sitters stay home with the
little ones so Moms and Dads can socialize and get to know each other).
Field Trips: Mom and children field
trips include summer time park outings, picnic lunches, group trips
to child-centered attractions such as the zoo, OMSI, tours of interesting
locations, etc.
Activites: Throughout
the year we also enjoy various activites such as holiday parties,
participation in the West Linn Parade and more.
Support Services: We recognize that
there are times when Moms need a little extra help. The birth of
a child, illnesses and other private matters occur, causing strain
on a family. Support Services coordinates
temporary aid for members, including meals, help with domestic chores,
emergency transportation, childcare and listening. Matters are kept
confidential.
Service Projects: As a non-profit organization
with service on our list of priorities, we “adopt” a
local mother/child related non-profit
organization as our Club’s charity. Our goal is to increase community
awareness of this charity while aiding it through support.
Dues
Annual dues are $24.00 and cover the cost of administration, newsletter
production, mailings, space rental, supplies, etc.
As a member, you are eligible to participate in any Club activities and
